Pan Yi Island
KohPanyi or Ban krangnum.
A two hundred years ago, “ Tohbabu” the head of Indonesia people moved to here , seeking out a new home where they could make a living place for themselves and their forebears. They planted a flag on Panyi Island – or so one version of their story goes – and this is the origin of the island’s name. “Panyi” in villagers’ ancestral tongue means “flag”.
The natural island of Panyi is towering vertical mass of limestone. Consequently, nearly all of the village sits atop a vast network of stilts that clings to the edge of the island’s coastline and then stretches out over the sea in maze of raised walkways and platforms.
Within this watery community you’ll find a village school with its own playground, a mosque with a gleaming dome and minarets to call the villagers to prayer and, most famously, a floating football pitch. Born from a dream of the island’s children and without even land to play a game, KohPanyi’s football team took shape and achieved success as one of Thailand’s strongest youth teams.

- Don’t bring any dog to the island.
- Don’t bring any pig to the island.
- Don’t wearing unsuitable cloth on the island. Please wearing a suitable cloth before get in the island.
- Don’t bring any narcotic and bet to the island.
Don’t miss any 5 sor on to the island, if any one not follow those rules, you will be charge for that.
Getting to KohPanyi.
You can rent a long-tail boat from Surakul pier or Kasom pier in Takhotungdistrict ,PhangNgaprince.The boat can carry up to 21-30 people.
Sunrakakron pier is near with The PhangNga bay resort , Muangdistrict,PhangNgaprovince.It has many size of a boat to service .If you are come with a big tour group should to take a big boat at this pier.AoPhangNga national prak has a speed boat to service also.
